Description

Further improved Swing Arm Assembly for easy setting and cleaning :
After inserting the test cup in the instrument, just lower the swing arm assembly onto the test cup to set all the necessary components for the test, including the ignition source, temperature sensor, flash detector and stirrer (in case of apm, atg and abl series). After the test, lift the arm to the complete upright positon for easy cleaning.

apm-8fc is an automated Pensky-Martens Closed Cup flash point tester.

Numerous test methods are built in to accommodate various samples: Procedure-A for homogeneous petroleum liquids such as distillate fuels, Procedure-B for residual fuel oils and some other non-homogeneous liquids, Procedure-C for biodiesel, SPE mode for samples with unknown expected flashpoint, CRM mode for CRMs, a Custom mode where heating rate, etc. can be set freely, and ISO 15267 mode for animal and vegetable fats and oils.

Furthermore, it is standard equipped with a fire containment system. It can extinguish the fire effectively by flowing quenching gas (N2 or CO2) from an external connection port.
